Malinda Hudson

PhD, LMSW, MPA, MAHS

I’m Malinda, a licensed master social worker at Coastal Counseling with over 28 years of experience in the helping profession. I am certified in trauma care and CADC trained, and I draw on a variety of therapeutic techniques, including CBT, IFS, and DBT, alongside humanistic approaches, to guide my clients toward growth and healing. My specialties include treating generalized anxiety, depression, social anxiety, family issues, adolescent and couples counseling, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.

My educational journey includes studies at Walden University, Delaware State University, Wilmington University, and Springfield College’s School of Human Services. With nearly two years of experience in counseling, I am currently working toward my clinical licensure and further expanding my expertise to better serve my clients.

I strongly believe in the connection between mental health and overall well-being, and I hold the perspective that “what is present in the heart and mind has a way of manifesting in the physical body.” I am passionate about supporting the mind, body, and spirit and encourage my clients to prioritize self-care and to "take care of their cup."

My guiding motto is: “You can’t pour from an empty cup. What’s in the cup is for you. What flows over is what you use to help others. Keep your cup full and overflowing.”
